Like many people I used to limit what I commemorate to only the once in a lifetime special extraordinary events and situations. Then in a string of events that turned my world sideways, twisted and upside down I found that what once was everyday ordinary, could sometimes now be extraordinary. A walk through the woods, or along the beach, a bicycle ride, a trip to the amusement park, a day on the river, a sunset on the water... the list goes on. Take the time to smell the flowers, see the beauty that is everywhere around us that we miss as it goes by in a blur in our daily routines. Celebrate the ordinary. For each of us, ordinary is something different. While ordinary is usually thought of as insignificant little stuff, this is what makes us who we are, and what helps make us unique... and that is worth celebrating.
